Today marks my birthday, so I'm going to share 4 key lessons I have learned from my last birthday to today.
Lesson 1: Your darkest hour is breakthrough's doorstep.
The biggest problem entrepreneurs face isn't lack of ideas, money, or even skill.
It's giving up when you're 3 feet from the jackpot.
Let me explain...
I’ve been trying to crack paid ads for my business for the last 6 months. And I’m not gonna lie, it’s been an absolute dumpster fire.
But after learning this lesson over and over, I know I’m at the point where most people would just give up
You know it how it works...
Things get hard, you grind for months with zero wins, and that evil voice in your head keeps saying:
"THIS ISN'T WORKING!"
But this struggle creates the breakthrough.
Because when I crack these paid ads, I know my business will go from 1 to 100.
Even better?
The education that comes along with the hardship. I could look at these struggles and think:
“Man I’m lighting money on fire, screw this.”
Or I could see what lies ahead on the other side of this hardship:
A breakthrough
Not only will this scale my business, but I’ll figure out something most entrepreneurs give up on. In turn, I’ll have self educated my skills with cold traffic, media buying, copywriting, persuasion etc.
The point?
If you’re not failing, you’re not growing.
Lesson 2 : Confidence is a superpower.
I struggled with confidence in my teenage years. It ruined part of my teen years .
But being an artist gave me confidence.
I’ll never forget my bad portraits, poorly done painting which I kept on trying until I got them perfect.
Here’s the deal…
After making so many mistakes as a student artist, I learned how to fix those mistakes on my own. In turn, I no longer feared failure and took more action.
Which created a flywheel:
Action > Failure > Learn > More Action > More Failure > More Learned = More confidence.
Confidence comes from the lack of fear of failure.
The less you fear failure the more confident you become. But the lack of fear only comes from taking massive action and failing a lot.
Lesson 3 : Everything you want is on the other side of fear.
What you fear most is what you need most.
You could be scared of quitting your job, ditching a toxic relationship, asking for a promotion, or asking that cute person at the coffee shop for their number.
Fear is just clarity wearing a disguise.
Despite what some people tell you online, fear is actually a good thing. Fear gives you direction. Because future lies in the hands of the bold not the weak.
Plus, studies show that around 85% to 91% of what people worry about never actually happens.Turns out facing that fear gave me everything I wanted.
Ask yourself:
“What do I fear most?”
Everything you want in life is on the other side of that question.
Lesson 4: The brain processes visual information 60,000x faster than text.
Combining writing with illustrations, video, and data is how you become the most engaging person in your market.
In 2025, you have to be as multidimensional as possible.
Write and record.
